Hawaiians have visible and invisible relationships with their ancestors and nature. They believe that all living beings have “mana“ (the energy source that radiates from all living creatures). The intensity is understood as positive or negative and found in daily interactions.
Besides ‘aumakua being represented by living animals, Hawaiians have been able to connect and be guided by the land they live on connecting them to the waves of generations before them.
