Mele Murals
Painted on the walls of Cathedral Catholic Academy (now closed after Spring 2016), this mural depicts Nuuanu Valley, the location that where I grew up on the island of Oahu.
The rainbows represent bridges between the two schools of Cathedral Catholic and Pacific Buddhist Academy. The stream at the bottom shows the Waiolani stream located behind the school. The monarch butterflies represent how oneʻs path should aim to ascend to heaven.
